The best time to capture the job site with a HoloWalk is whenever a critical phase of construction has been completed and you want to create a visual record of that phase of the project so you can recall it later when those areas may be covered up and no longer be visible. Another rule of thumb is to capture the job site after every major inspection -- after the completion of foundation, framing, electrical/plumbing/mechanical, drywall, and just prior to finishes like tile, casework & trim.
The answer depends on when we get involved. The earlier we can capture the job site, the more valuable the HoloWalks will be to you going forward. That said, most clients who undertake a major renovation or new construction project ask us to capture "foundation to finish", with a minimum of four captures -- 1) Foundation, 2) Framing, 3) Pre-Insulation, 4) Post Drywall.
Project setup is straightforward... we just need a PDF of the floor plans for all areas of the project to be captured. We'll upload the plans into our HoloWalk capture tool, indicating all the locations where captures will be made on the floor plans -- before the technician visits the site. We want to make sure we've covered any and all critical areas that are important to you or your client.
You, the client, have the final say in who has access. As a default, only those who have the login credentials you establish at the beginning of the project will be able to access your HoloWalks. At your discretion, can may share a HoloWalk with someone else by creating a unique link and sending it to the target recipient via email or text.
